Chadwicks Group is searching for a Trade Sales Advisor to join their leading team in a permanent, full-time capacity. What Does a Trade Sales Advisor Do?

Day-to-day, this job revolves around engaging customers, providing accurate advice, and maintaining strong product knowledge, particularly in areas like plumbing, timber, and ironmongery. You’ll be responsible for building lasting customer relationships and ensuring repeat business by consistently delivering great service.

Typical tasks include handling sales transactions, maintaining stock levels, liaising with suppliers, and supporting branch operations. You’re also expected to proactively identify sales opportunities and keep the sales area clean, tidy, and presentable at all times, contributing towards a positive customer experience.

Success in this role is measured by your sales and margin targets, as well as your ability to collaborate as part of a motivated branch team. Additionally, adherence to company policies—especially regarding paperwork and security—is key.

If you have prior sales experience, particularly in a busy builder provider, and solid product knowledge, you’ll start ahead. However, flexibility and an eagerness to learn will set you apart during onboarding and training.
