Typical Responsibilities and Job Insight
The core responsibility is to undertake deep and shallow drainage works, including trench excavation and manhole construction. Experience in laying foundations and structural footings is also essential.
Your typical day will involve handling external finishes such as kerbing, flagging, and concrete slab laying. For the excavator operator, tasks will focus on safe, efficient earthworks and drainage with heavy plant machinery.
All operatives must hold a Blue CSCS card, while the 360 excavator operator will need a valid CPCS or NPORS ticket. The team’s efficiency, safety, and ability to complete varied civil projects are primary expectations.
You’ll operate as an independent, skilled unit and be expected to deliver work to a high standard, maintaining site safety and strong communication throughout the contract.
