As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll develop and apply quality standards for incoming, in-process, and final inspection phases of manufacturing. Evaluating causes of internal issues and customer returns is common.
You’ll communicate directly with customers, engineering teams, and suppliers, leading root cause analysis and ensuring documentation accuracy for customer assurance programmes.
Technical support to inspection personnel, analysis of quality data, and actioning 8D reports for corrective and preventive actions will fill much of your workday.
Internal and process audit leadership is a routine part, along with supporting external audits and certification renewals.
There may be occasional travel, supporting both company and external audit efforts. You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
